You know what’s a bad idea?
Jul 19th
Reading fanfiction until 5:30 in the morning when you have to be awake at 8am for work.
And the stupid part is, I do this ALL THE TIME. WHATISWRONGWITHME O_O
Actually, I do extremely well with only a few hours of sleep – I’m feeling pretty good right now. Only just begining to feel a headache and a coffee at lunchtime will clear that up nicely.
Speaking of work, I last commented on it just to say it was a new workplace – for anyone who’s curious, it’s also a great workplace and it is a huge improvement from my last job. I never thought I would like a 9-5 job this much, but my god, weekends are glorious things.
Lately I’ve been playing a lot of video games. I never realized how much I missed them. I’m just all around happier when I get a good dose of gaming in.
The three that’ve really got my attention right now are Chrono Trigger (old, I know, but so damned good!), Final Fantasy XIII (yes, I am the Slowest Gamer in the World. That’s my official title, right along with Slowest Reader in the World. I like to savour things), and all of a sudden, Stronghold Legends. More >
Brief A-Kon Recap
Jun 7th
So I’ll be doing a vlog about this…sometime (It may be in a week because I GOT A NEW JOB, YEAH! But I’m working two jobs until my two weeks are up, so time is cramped), but I just wanted to throw a few photos up here and briefly talk about how awesome A-Kon was.
So I ended up only doing two costumes: Misa from Death Note and Ranma from Ranma 1/2.

Misa
Ranma (The character in full-view.)
Just to explain, Ranma is a boy, but he’s been cursed so when he gets splashed by cold water, he turns into a girl.
My Misa costume was one I just assembled. I didn’t sew any of it and styling the wig just involved pulling the hair into pigtails (I didn’t have the right wig. The one I had ordered for the costume has yet to come in…No idea where it is).
My Ranma costume, on the other hand, was completely sewn by me. Shirt, pants, sash, cuffs. The only thing I was missing was my collar because we ended up needing some time before the con on Saturday morning to actually finish our homemade costumes and I decided that was just something I would have to add More >
Brandi Alexander
Jan 15th
I had to say goodbye to my Siberian Husky Brandi yesterday. She became a part of my family in March of 1996. I was eight and from that point on we grew up together. My brother and I lived in a neighborhood without any other kids to play with, so when Brandi came around, we really took her in as a sister. She was with us everywhere, getting into trouble around the house or playing outside. We had a really good 14-year run together. I will miss her very much.
