I’ve been busy, okay? Sheesh.
Haha, no one reads this thing to care.
But I have been pretty busy.
I’ve got one month until A-Kon and I don’t have any costumes ready, and I know my affiliates who are joining me on this trip are nowhere near ready either; work’s been hectic like woah, almost to the point where I can’t even breathe without thinking and stressing about it a little; the affiliates and I have launched a new group site dedicated to geeky reviews (you can check out the new site at www.afterthought-studios.com, although it’s already getting a little neglected. I never thought playing games in order to get footage and information on them would feel like a chore); and I’ve been trying to work out the details on a small road trip I plan on taking in July.
All in all, chattering away on my own site hasn’t been a top priority, although it has been hovering over me like a guilt-inducing shadow, especially since I was planning on doing so many articles between my last post and now.
Ah well.
In my attempt to de-stress this past month, I’ve tried my hand at watercolor painting, which I’m enjoying very much, I’ve been watching More >

I love Indiana Jones. He is my hero. He has been since my dad put Raiders of the Lost Ark on for me when I was like, five. Shortly thereafter, I had watched the whole trilogy (as far as I’m concerned, the 4th one is simply a reunion movie), and then my dad got me the computer graphic adventure game Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
I only have images from the beginning of the game because I don’t have any save files throughout the game and I’ve got too many game reviews lined up to play this one through for a 100th time, so keep in mind that this looks like a First Impressions Review, but it is actually a Full Retro Review.
This graphic adventure was released in 1989 by LucasArts, then called LucasFilm Games. It was a companion to the release of the third movie of the series and it came out on a number of computer systems, all of which are now collecting dust on the shelf of some guy who’s collecting them – or trashed somewhere.
The game does a great job of closely following the movie without seeming redundant. The players get to involve themselves in Indy’s More >

So this site has been pretty text heavy lately. This post, sadly, will not be any different because I don’t have access to my image files, but I do plan on changing that a bit tonight and tomorrow.
Plans for the next week/things to look forward to:
On a side note, I’ve started really watching Code Geass and I’ve gotta More >

Guess who has the best affiliate evah? Ya huh! Me, me, me!
Frozen bought me and AwkwardS a handheld camcorder! WAH! WAH! YEAH!
*Dances*
How cool is that? Video Game Show, here I come!
Thanks Frozen! XD

Okay, so what do you all think about this theme? Nice? I think it’s nice. I think it’s a nice improvement from the usual bland themes I have up here. You can thank AwkwardS for the stylish-ness of this one. He showed me where he got his nice new theme and I went a-browsin’, and voila. Here we are.
Look at those pictures at the top – you can scroll through them and look at featured articles (which are “featured” for no other reason than that they have pictures)! Or look to the left there! That’s my new video space! My sidebar still looks pretty shitty but I’ll work on that later. For now, I’m pretty pleased. Even the color scheme is nice, in my opinion.
So yes, enjoy looking around. I think it’s much more browser friendly now. And by browser I mean you, the person browsing. Not IE or Mozilla or Chrome.
Blah blah blah. Okay I’m done talking.

Again, another new theme.
This one is REALLY boring and plain, but it’s nice how clean and clear it is, plus it’s a great theme for having a video in the sidebar. This isn’t my dream theme, but it’ll do for now. I’m going to have AwkwardS work on the colors for me so it’ll at least be black soon, and then maybe I’ll throw a custom banner up in the header. *shrug* Who knows.
Really, though, the important thing is the video. Not the particular one I have embedded, although you should watch that because it’s hilarious, but rather, the fact that I can have a chosen static video sitting there at all. Yes, essentially I could have had the same feature in the pink diary theme, but come on. Show of hands. Who was tired of all that pink after the first day? *raises hand*
Anyway, if you caught what I was saying about Heavy Rain a couple of times, it was that I want to start a video game review youtube show, and once I get over this damned illness/once I have enough game footage to make at least 3 min video, I’m going to air episode one. There are More >

So I must be failing to do something right (which isn’t surprising), because AGAIN I feel some sort of cold/sickness coming on. I’m putting my money on my diet and lack of exercise lowering my immune system, honestly. And I’m really tired of being sick all the time.
So, time for a change.
The problem with having a healthy lifestyle is that it’s so damned expensive. I usually eat twice a day and the meals are 2$ specials from a fast food joint. My water intake is stupidly low cause I don’t buy bottled water and I hate tap. My exercise consists of standing behind a desk for 8 hours and since I can’t afford to eat and drink right, I’m too tired to work out at home.
But really, it’s just that my stinginess is misplaced – I always save my tips for video games and comics, which I’ve never had a problem with before, but seeing how I’m completely independent now, and momma’s not making all my meals for me (god, when was the last time I had that privilege? u_u), I’m gonna have to prioritize differently.
WHICH MAKES ME SO SAD.
But being sick makes me sadder, so I’m just going to More >

Bwuahaha! Look how pink! It’s like cotton candy!
I know it’s not the standard Dev site, and it probably won’t last long, but I wanted a dramatic change and I like the cuteness of this one. Plus it has more of a diary feel.
Which this is hardly a diary…but whatever!

I picked up my first dress patterns the other day, for like 2 bucks a pop. That is cheap! They are usually about 18$. Anyway, I got several regular styles that are kind of just basic patterns I should have on hand, and I got a couple that’ll be great for particular cosplays I already have in mind. I found a trench-style pattern that could work for both a steampunk costume and as a coat for Hei from Darker Than Black, who is a character Frozen has expressed interest in cosplaying. I picked up a military uniform pattern as well, maybe as a guide for Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist or maybe a Code Geass student uniform someday.
So far my line-up for A-Kon is: Neil Gaiman’s Death, Random Steampunk Skypirate.
Possibilites: Ed from Cowboy Bebop, The Red Whirlwind/Juliet from Romeo x Juliet, Hungary from Hetalia: Axis Powers, Female Ranma from Ranma 1/2, Kyoshi More >

Hahaha I just realized I made that last post about FF13 on the 13th. Completely unintentional and awesome.
